Kids, youth, widows, teamtime and goodbye group from Switzerland

Another few days passed by really fast.

Thursday morning together with 3 others I went to a widow to paint her kitchen. When we arrived we took out all the furniture of the kitchen to have space to paint. When we were done with that the lady told us that she had to buy paint. So, while she was buying the painting stuff we cleaned the windows. After 20 minutes she came back with some painting stuff and we could start. But we had to be back on time for lunch so we couldn't finish. Later in the afternoon we came back to finish. It was great to see how happy the lady was with what we have done. Also her daughter was very thankful that we had visit her mom. Later we heard that it doesn’t happen that often young people visiting older ladies at home.

During lunch we have had visitors from the organisation Polylogos (Salt Initiative). They come from different countries. They told something about the work they do and about their experiences in the work they do. Now they especially work with wo with people from the Ukrain. I think this week they wanted to go again to the Ukrain. 

In the evening we have had a youth program with the youth of Danes and Sighisoara. The MC prepared the program. We had worship, input, dinner, games and community time. The message of the input was going about that we are together building "a cathedral". Everbody is a living stone and we are all needed to complete this building. We are all different and together we can build something. During the evening we also had a sharing time. One of the things we talked about was how you have experienced God in your life. One of the boys from the youth group told that God has heald his heart. He had a hole in his heart which in healed. I think it's a beautiful testimony. 

Friday morning we had a brunch with the people of Perspective. I think we had a nice time together. Afterwards we had a time of worship and prayers. This time was precious. Together we thanked the Lord for all things that happend in the past days and we also prayed for the project and for the MC and youth group.

I actually don't remember exactly what we have done in the afternoon. I think the weather was really hot that day so we had some free time. Later in the afternoon we have done a kids programma in Danes. I always enjoy so much doing kids program. Some kids hesitated at the beginning and then a while later you saw them being so happy and free. That was great to see. During the program there was theatre, we did "Temple run" (is an online game but we did it in real life). The kids they really enjoyed doing it and also the parents were laughing. We also did some crafting. They could make a crown. This was connected with the theatre play were it was going about that God the King calls us to be His child. The kids could decorate their own crown and they were so proud of what they made.

Afterwards there was face painting, and bubble blowing. Also different people of the group took a child on their back and where running around. The kids they enjoyed a lot. For a moment I played soccer with a kid. We didn't had a soccerball but we used a flip flop which we found on the street. Being creative with garbage. It's always beautiful to see how happy the kids are when they just get a little bit of attention. When you give them the feeling that you see them. I think that's the most precious thing for them of the whole program. 

Saturday morning we have done some sightseeing in Sighisoara. Some of the people of the youth group they joined us and showed us the way. After sightseeing in different groups we met again in the big group and then we sepperated to have lunch in different small groups. After that we went back to the community centre were we went in the small groups we had during the whole week as team, and we did listening prayer with psalm 23.

In the evening we had a youth event with youth groups out of different places. We drunk cocktails, played a game, we had a time of worship, there was an input and application time, we had dinner and afterwards we did different dances. Especially the dancing part was nice. Dance and music is something that connects people and makes a good atmosphere. 

Sunday morning we went to church were we have heard a really nice preaching about love. Not about love as a feeling but love as an action. We are made to love. And also Jesus showed His love to us in an action: He died for us. And while He was doing His action of love He felt forsaken (Marc 15). But He wasn't driven by feelings but by love. So, He continued His act of love. There is also another way God shows us His love. You can see that way in the story of Jona; the storm, the fish, they shadow which came and disappeared. This kind of actions of love from God are directing us in the right direction. Jona got a message from God to go somewhere, but he went to the other side. 

After church service we had a thank you lunch from Perspective. We eat pizza together what was really great. Afterwards we had a debriefing time and also time to write encoursgements to eachother. Because it was the last day in Romania for the group from Switzerland we also did a big cleaning in the house. Cleaning together is always a party I think. Everbody is helping eachother and making fun. Afterwards we had dinner and evening prayer and then it was time to say goodbye because the groups should leave at 03.00 in the morning. I was sad about them leaving because we had a great time together and we have been a big family for a week. At 03.00 o'clock in the morning after another goodbye they all left.

It's a difference to live with 35 people in the house or with 5. But I am glad that I can stay longer here. I am excited for the coming days. Some days passed by already but I wil write about these days in the next update.
